Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and dubsix ("we", "us") for the dubsix game in Telegram, at app.dubsix.com and on dubsix.com. You accept them when you tick the box in your profile or sign in, and each time you use the service. If you do not accept them, do not use dubsix.
1. Who may play
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
- You must not be in, or live in, a country or region on our restricted list. Using a VPN or anything else to appear to be somewhere else breaks these terms.
- Playing for money must be legal where you are. Checking that, and paying any tax on what you win, is your responsibility.
- One account per person. Your Telegram and wallet sign-ins join into that one account; a second account of your own is not allowed. An account is personal: it may not be sold, lent or shared.
2. Your account
- You sign in with Telegram, or with a TON wallet through TON Connect. Keep both safe: whoever controls them controls your account. We never ask for a password, a seed phrase or a private key.
- One screen plays at a time: opening dubsix somewhere else takes over from the screen you had open.
- The name you choose must not imitate dubsix, its support or another person, and must not be offensive; some names are refused for that reason. Other players see your name, picture and country's flag, as the Privacy Policy explains.
3. The games
- Every game is backgammon between two people. There are no bots, no house player and no computer opponent in money games.
- A 1v1 match is best of three: the first player to win two games wins the match. Standard rules apply, without a doubling cube; a gammon or a backgammon counts as one game won.
- You have 60 seconds for your first move and 20 seconds for each move after it. There is no time bank and the clock never pauses. When your time runs out the server plays for you: the moves you already placed are kept and completed, otherwise a legal move is drawn from the match's own verifiable dice chain.
- If your connection drops, the clock keeps running for both players. Come back within 60 seconds and play on; after that you lose the match.
- You may concede a match at any time. Conceding loses the match.
- You are matched with the closest rating available. Two accounts on the same device are never matched with each other.
- During a match you can send quick phrases and short messages without links. Keep them decent; you can hide an opponent's messages on your screen.
- A tournament is eight players, single elimination, single games, with a game for third place. It starts when its eighth seat fills. If you are still in a 1v1 match when it starts, your entry is refunded and your seat goes to the next player waiting. Tournament games follow the same clock.
- Every roll is made on our servers from a secret sealed before the match and a random number from each player's app. After the match the secret is published, and anyone can recompute every roll on the match's fairness page. Dice are never sent ahead of the roll.
4. Stakes, fees and prizes
- The stake of a 1v1 match is taken from both players' balances when the match is made and held until it ends.
- The fee is 4% of each player's stake, taken when the match ends. The winner receives both stakes minus both fees: $1.92 from a $1 match. The figures are printed on the ticket before you play.
- Of each player's fee, half goes to dubsix and half to the person who invited that player, or to dubsix if nobody did.
- A tournament entry is held from your balance when you take a seat; it is still yours until the start. Leave before the start and it comes straight back. If a tournament is called off, every entry is refunded.
- At the start the eight entries form the pot. The prizes are 4×, 2× and 1× the entry for first, second and third place ($4, $2 and $1 at a $1 entry), paid together when the last game ends. The eighth entry is the fee: half to dubsix and half to the players' inviters (one sixteenth of the entry for each player), with the share of a player nobody invited going to dubsix.
- A match that cannot be played to the end because of a fault on our side, or that is called off after a fair-play review, is void: every stake is returned in full.
- Every figure in the app comes from our servers. Stakes, fees, prizes and payments are recorded in an append-only ledger, and the result screen shows what was actually paid.
5. Referrals
- You have a personal invite link. Someone who opens dubsix for the first time through it becomes your referral. This is decided once, when their account is created, and never changes. You cannot refer yourself.
- For as long as they play, you receive half of their fee — 2% of their stake in every match and 6.25% of their entry in every tournament — from their first game, whether they win or lose. It lands in your balance and withdraws like any other money.
- There is one level only: you earn nothing from the people your referrals invite. There are no targets and no end date.
- Referring your own second account, or accounts made only to collect referral income, breaks sections 1 and 8.
6. Deposits
- The only asset we accept is USDT on the TON network. Your account has its own permanent deposit address; you can also tap Deposit and let your TON wallet fill in the transfer.
- A deposit is credited once the TON network has confirmed it. Sending any other coin or token, or USDT on another network, to your deposit address can mean losing it; we cannot promise to recover it.
- While the service is new, the app will not start a deposit that would take the money you hold above a cap ($500 today). The deposit screen shows the cap and how much room is left. Winnings and referral income are never capped, and a transfer that arrives anyway is still credited.
- We charge nothing on deposits. Sending one from your own wallet costs a small network fee in GRAM, the TON network's coin, paid by your wallet.
7. Withdrawals
- Withdrawals go only to your withdrawal wallet: the first wallet you connect to your account. It is locked to your account and cannot be changed in the app, so keep access to it. A wallet that comes to your account later can be paid only after a waiting period (24 hours today), so a stolen session cannot empty an account at once.
- Each withdrawal pays the TON network's fee, shown in USDT before you confirm and taken from your balance. We charge no fee of our own. The amount must be larger than the network fee.
- Today's limits are $500 per withdrawal and $1,000 in any 24 hours; the app shows them.
- Most withdrawals arrive in under a minute. A withdrawal can be held for a manual check when its destination is on a screening list, and withdrawals can be paused while we deal with a fault; the app says so. Money on hold stays yours.
8. Fair play
- Not allowed: help from software or another person during a match; agreeing results with an opponent or losing on purpose to pass them money; more than one account; scripts or automated play; using a fault in the service; referring yourself.
- After every match a backgammon engine checks the moves, and we compare devices and network addresses (as salted hashes) between accounts.
- What we may do: void a match in progress and refund both players; lock an account for 24 hours, then 48 hours, or longer; switch an account to withdraw-only. A locked account cannot play or withdraw until its lock ends. A withdraw-only account can withdraw its whole balance at any time.
- We never take a player's money, and an account that still holds money is never closed.
- You can appeal any decision through Support. You are answered from the same account.
9. Responsible play
You can ask Support for a break, a longer exclusion or lower limits at any time. Responsible play explains how they work.
10. Your balance
Your balance is USDT that we hold for you. It never expires, never turns into points and earns no interest. It is not a bank account, and no deposit-protection scheme covers it.
11. Availability and changes
- We may pause matches, tournaments or withdrawals for maintenance or safety. The app shows a notice while a pause lasts.
- We may change the stakes, tables and fees we offer. The ticket in the app always shows the figures before you play.
- We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed; material changes are announced in the app before they take effect.
12. Closing your account
You can stop playing at any time. To close your account, withdraw your balance and ask Support. We may close an account that breaks these terms, but only once its balance has been withdrawn.
13. Liability
We work to keep dubsix running and correct, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are responsible only for direct losses caused by our own fault, and never for losses caused by the blockchain network, your wallet, your device or your connection. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
14. Questions and disputes
Questions and complaints go to Support inside the app (Profile › Support); a payment question can also start with /paysupport in our Telegram bot. The match records and the ledger are the evidence for every decision. Nothing in these terms takes away a right that the law where you live gives you and that cannot be waived.
15. Telegram and TON
dubsix is independent. It is not made, endorsed or run by Telegram or the TON Foundation, and they are not responsible for it.
