Play for the game, not for the money
dubsix is a game of skill between people, but the stakes are real money and losing streaks happen to everyone. Set a budget you can afford to lose, keep to it, and stop when the game stops being fun.
Deposit cap
Every account has a deposit cap: the app will not start a deposit that takes the money you hold above it ($500 today). The deposit screen shows the cap and how much room is left. It is there to keep a bad day from becoming an expensive one.
Take a break, exclude yourself or set limits
Open dubsix › Profile › Support and ask for one of these:
- A break: no matches and no tournament seats until a date you choose.
- An exclusion: the same, for a longer period or for good.
- Limits: a lower deposit cap, or a highest stake you can play.
Each starts as soon as Support sets it. Whatever you choose, your balance stays yours and you can withdraw it at any time. A permanent exclusion is not reversed on request.
Signs to watch for
- Playing to win back a loss.
- Depositing more than you planned, or borrowing to play.
- Hiding how much you play from people close to you.
- Playing when you are tired, upset or not sober.
Getting help
If playing is harming you or someone close to you, talk to people who can help. Gambling Therapy gives free support online, in many languages, wherever you live. Gamblers Anonymous lists meetings and contacts. Our Support can stop your account from playing at once, but cannot offer counselling.
Minors
dubsix is for adults only (18+). If you believe a minor is using it, tell Support: we stop the account from playing and close it once its balance has been withdrawn.
